Twin Towers
Twin Towers

I discovered the Twin Towers in the early eighties.  I remember taking my landlady Teresa, her cousin Mario and Brenda up to the top and thoroughly enjoying the majestic view that unfolded.

Several years later for a birthday present I requested a helicopter ride along the skyline of New York to photograph the Twin Towers.  This is what I captured.  Who knew then that these structures would tumble and over three thousand lives would be lost.

Long live the American Spirit.

This lovely island once known as a major fishing village rests just beyond Murano where the famous Murano glass is made. It was however Burano that called to me. Each house is painted in a glorious color believed to be handed down from generation to generation. Also famous is the lace and their S shaped cookies representing the Grand Canal of Venice.

The Brooklyn Bridge

The Brooklyn Bridge. One of my favorite subjects. Mr. Johann Roebling was a German-born American civil engineer. It was he who designed the Brooklyn Bridge. Unfortunately, Mr. Roebling died before the construction began. It was his son Washington Roebling and his daughter-in-law Emily Warren Roebling who ensured the completion of this project.

Asbury Park, New Jersey was famous for its amusement park and swan lake.  The funhouse was one of the many features.  The building housed Tillie, on one side and the bumper cars on the other side.  Though the building is long gone I did have the opportunity to capture Tillie before it was carefully preserved and stored away.
